It's a bit of a cliché, but I have loved weddings since I was a little girl. My dream has always been to help brides like you get the perfect wedding dress, and setting up my own business has allowed me to do just that.

I believe that buying a wedding dress is one of the most exciting moments in a Bride's journey. The experience should be amazing from start to finish, and the dress should be perfect for you. With a dress, made by me in Cornwall, you are personally involved with every stage of the process so that you feel comfortable and beautiful on the most special day of your life.

I'm often inspired by fine art and vintage styling, so my wedding dresses usually have a signature style of romance and nostalgia. I always try to design in a way that captures the individual bride's style to make you feel as comfortable as possible on your wedding day.

How much does a bespoke dress cost?

Typically an Ailsa Munro dress won't cost you more than a dress from a boutique, usually somewhere between £1,200 and £2,500, depending on the complexity of the dress and the cost of the fabric.

How does ordering a bespoke dress work?

I will usually need to see you about 5 times while making your dress- first to design the dress and select fabrics, then to try the Toile and then for around 3 fittings.

For more information on this process see my blog post

How long does the process take?

It’s best to allow 6 months. It is possible to take on commissions with less time, any dress ordered within 2 months of your wedding is subject to a small rush fee.

What payment methods do you take?

I accept cash, cheque or BACS payments.

Can you come to me for fittings?

If you are further away I can come visit you in your home for fittings, though I prefer to do your initial consultation in my showroom where I have access to all my fabric samples. For fittings I charge £40 to come to you, and a little more if you're over an hour away.

Do you have dresses to try?

All the dresses in the Collection are available to try unless out on a press loan. If you are interested in a specific dress please tell me when you book your appointment.

Do I need to bring anything with me for a fitting?
